4LYN Concert Yesterday evening I was at a concert by 4LYN at the Colos-Saal in Aschaffenburg. I did not know that band very well in advance, I was asked to join some friends to the concert, listened to some of their songs and decided to give them a chance. 4LYN already has some albums released and they played some of the old stuff and also brand new songs from the recent album "Hello". BTW, my favorite song from that album is "Nostalgia".
Some people just describe 4LYN as alternative rock, some say their music is nu metal. Anyway, I'm not a friend of strict genre seperations. That is a great transition to the support band, Insolence. They were described as a mixture of "metal, reggae and hip hop". On stage, they have a typical rock band instrumentation with two singers plus a DJ. The way they mixed the elements of these genres was okay but, at least in my opinion, could have been much better, because they put too much emphasis on just making a lot of noise.
